Hi Lumion team,

surely I'm in a mistake, but now it isn't impossible to make still images with some effects?

I try to test fog feature, in animation option I can, more or less, manage it, but if I want to make a still image the result is absolutely different.

it is in this way now?

Hola Juan, this Output image, How do you get it? If the effect is applied in a Scene in VideoMode and you select mistakenly Photomode to get that picture (normal error also happened to me at first), you gonna lose that effect because is applied in VideoMode, but if you get the picture from FrameRange, then you have an inexplicable Bug. :-\

Hi Nico

That's is precisely regarding what  I'm asking. Only the effects are available for videoMode and not for Photomode?

Then if I want to do only some views, but not a video, I can't have these effects operating?

regards jp

You can copy from VM to PM of couse, anyway I have understood that this is changing now, perhaps better cooled and wait to the new version. :)

If you work only in PM, you have only 10 keyframes or camera saved, that's too poor for any kind of architectural project + you have irremediably the same effects for all cameras saved, if you change effects in camera 4, this change will be changed in all the rest of cameras. :D Yeah, so funny, that almost cry. Sorry to tell you, that as things stand now, you probably want or need to work in VideoMode, like it or not. But I repeat, must/need/will change (and / = and or)

Absolutely insane, I can do in one of our projects more than 50 still views..... I don't understand what happened in this new version... really not.

thanks Nico

Just to clarify what has changed and what hasn't, there were only 10 camera save slots in Lumion 2.5.

It's the same number in Lumion 3.0.

What's new is that you can apply effects to the Photo section (and you can copy effects from the Photo section to the Movie section and vice versa).

In addition, the custom map export options (Depthmap, Lighting map etc) as well as the ability to render camera keyframes from clips have been moved to the Movie section.

If you go to Photo mode from Movie mode, the effects are no longer 'inherited' as many people who used Lumion for the first time could not understand this principle.

Until the developers of Lumion have a chance to think things through, I would personally recommend that you use the Movie section more as a Photo mode. This will allow you to save more than 10 camera angles (as clips).

IMPORTANT: There is a new Shots output mode in the Movie section too:

Movie section -> Save Movie (or Create movie from clip) -> Images -> Frame range -> Custom -> Shots

This lets you quickly render each camera keyframe in a clip or in the entire movie as a still image.
