Still images - how?

Sorry I don't get it.

What is the workflow on setting up stillimages?

If I select >Photo in the menu I get 10 different image positions on the top, but I can't select different effect for each position.

How do I setup different positions for stillimages and add different effects for each image?

Sorry, I might be a little slow here :-/

Hi jorgensen, at the moment you can't add individual effect stacks to each saved Photo slot but the developers might consider overhauling this in a future update.

If you need separate effect stacks for each image, my advice (for now) is to use the Movie section for this, i.e. save your camera views in invididual movie clips and then render a single image from each clip by using Frame Range -> Custom -> Shots. This mode will render an image for every camera keyframe in your clip (in this case just 1 for each saved clip).

I know this is not ideal if you already have a bunch of regular clips in the Movie section and you want to be able to render those as an MP4 file. But that's all I can think of until the developers decide to improve the way the Photo and Movie sections work in Lumion 3.

Thanks Morten.

Seems to be usefull.

Maybe the Photo and Movie interface should have the same layout?

I have one 'bug' though - well I think so - the sun position is not stored from view to view.
The slider seems to be saved, the sun dos not update.

Also added in the bugs section.

I agree 100% ... Well almost... The layout of the new Photo mode would have to be slightly different, i.e. no timeline, and no "Entire movie" button, plus the 'Create movie from clip' and 'Movie export' buttons would have to be changed to 'Render current photo' and 'Render all photos'). This would instantly solve the problem with only 10 slots in the current Photo mode and only 1 effect stack for all saved camera slots.

I have previously suggested this to the developers, so hopefully they'll consider reviewing the way Photo and Movie mode work in a future update.

This was also the case in Lumion 2.5, although it is a bit worse in 3.0.

You basically have to press U to update the lighting manually when switching from one clip to another, or when switching between Build/Photo/Movie mode:
