is there a difference between ssoa scale/range and ambient shadows/scale and what is the difference to diffuse shadows ?

could you please clarify this for me ?

"Diffuse shadow" slider: This affects ambient occlusion in areas that are not in the shade.

"Ambient shadows" slider: This affects ambient occlusion in areas that are in the shade.

They haven't changed the wording in the Movie effects yet - I added this to the bug tracker list some time ago, so I hope they can fix it soon.

In other words, SSAO has been renamed to Ambient in the Weather section but they haven't yet gotten round to renaming the SSAO movie effects.

is there a distance slider for this effect ? sometimes i have a visible edge where ssoa begins/ends
could this distance become more far away ?

Can you post a screenshot that shows what you mean?

sorry i found out it was a problem with depth ? it was one object disappearing into another.
so there was no more ssoa calculated there.
