I have been searching around the web. I have found places that sell the software far below the main price from Lumion or Studica. Like Ioffer.com has downloads for full versions for $25 to $65 compared to retail over $3k? Are these people ripping off the software and do you not get the full access to the software? '

New to buying this very cool software, please help.

Hi Jnordby

I'm not able to verify exactly who they are and what they are selling, but it's highly likely they are ripping it off.  If they don't have or provide a valid Lumion license and if they are not an approved Lumion reseller, it's an illegal sale of the software .

You don't know what you will get in the software, and all that will happen for someone who uses it will be either a message saying the license cant be used, and your spending money on something that cannot be upgraded.

I addition, there will be no support as the product will not carry a valid license.

It's typical of some sites, they have been around for ages, and try selling recognised softwares for next to nothing because people will pay a small amount, and if they can't get satisfaction, give up because they have not spent too much.  For softwares such as Lumion, there's no ex-stock clearance at very low prices, as there is no shelf stock to be scrapped or sold off.

It is possible for a user who no longer requires Lumion to sell their license.  That has happened only a few times  ;), and some users advertise here, so you know it's likely to be a legitimate license.  It's also unlikely they are going to sell for those types of prices.

The correct place to buy Lumion is from the official Lumion web site, or from a reseller as listed here.
