Hi...

I'm ashamed to ask another rookie question but is there a way to control shadows' darkness?
They're pitch black right now but I wonder if they can be slightly less dark...

Is there a way to control that?

In the movie effects, you can add a shadow brightness control

Thanks a lot Gai!

I can't see a big difference though...

Do you know if there's a manual of all these effects?

Shadow brightness is also influenced by Sky and Sun brightness and SSAO settings.
However, currently there is quite a large gap between what you see and what you get.
The devs are aware of this and hopefully we will see a bit more polished WySiWyg resturn.

It always pays to do regular testrenders to make sure your settings reflect what you want.

Thanks for the infos Aaron!

I must say the scene I'm working on is quite large. I've tried to test render it (smallest size, medium quality) and it took 1h30...

Maybe I can only render a still frame to preview the shadows?  ???
