Hi jorgensen, this is probably a situation where the new
Load/Save material set function would come in handy.
1) Since you have 2 separate models (Model A and B) that need to use similar materials my advice would be to assign all materials to one of the two models, e.g. Model A.
2) Then save the material set:
Edit materials -> Click on Model A -> Save material set button (in the lower right corner)3) Place the second model in the scene and load the material set from the previous model:
Edit materials -> Click on Model B -> Load material set button (in the lower right corner)The way this function works is that it will look for any overlap in the names of the materials that were used in SketchUp for both models.
Every time it finds a match, it will add the material from model A to Model B.
If you plan ahead a bit and make a habit of always using the same material names in SketchUp (BrickWall_A, BrickWall_B and so on) you can make entire material sets in Lumion which you can apply to new imported models with a single click
