in the new version of 3.0 do you have the ability to do Semi Transparent Standard Materials.

We are really struggling showing some Wall Panels that need to be Semi transparent to let light in. 

Glass is very limited in the 2.5 version.

Yes. You can create your own opacity mask in the alpha channel of your material....apply it in your modeling app. Two sided glass has been implemented. Once you have it in lumion you change it to glass which gives you not only a texture influence slider  but also a transparency slider.....you can create stained glass etc.etc......cool stuff!!!

Just to elaborate on what modelhead already said, Lumion 3 now supports 8-bit alpha masks (in earlier versions it was only 1-bit alpha masks).
