First Saving a file...can I save a file over a file using the same name?
Yes and no. If you are working on a scene, you can save that scene with the same name, but you cannot save a new scene with the name of an older scene since you must enter a unique name for the new save.
Can I turn the autosave off?
I am not aware how to do this. You can press F5 for a quicksave.
How do I delete a file?...rather, pages and pages of useless files..(I play a lot)
When you open the load scene screen, you can mouse over a scene icon to display a trashcan. Double-click the trashcan to delete the scene. Alternatively, you can navigate to the My Documents/Lumion/Scenes folder and delete the .sva and .spr files for the selected scenes.
Why do two different files end up identical in content after being saved as two seperate iterations?
I don't understand the situation. Could you rephrase your question or give an example?
