Running Lumion- Optimal Solution

Hi,

I have been running lumion through bootcamp on my imac and laptop, but wish to make the program and rendering times run faster.

The specs of my imac are:
Processor: 2.5 HGz Intel Core i5
Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Card:  AMD RADEON HD 6750M

I have considered more ram for my imac, a new graphics card, or a new pc, but do not know what would be best or most cost effective, and so would greatly appreciate some help and advice.

I also have the problem of not being able to use my computer while Lumion is rendering, and so would also welcome a solution to this.

I look forward to hearing your comments.

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi Sarah, we generally recommend PCs instead of Macs, as the Windows graphics card driver software that Apple provide for the iMac graphics cards is outdated and error-prone.

That aside, your graphics card is unfortunately at the low end in terms of performance (just over 1,600 PassMark points):

We recommend 1,500 PassMark points for simple scenes in Lumion.

You would also benefit from having more RAM as well as the 64-bit version of Windows - there's more information here:
