[Resolved]: Roofs from revit missing in distance?

Hi all,

I've got a severe issue with how my revit is coming into Lumion. The problem is when you are at a difference the roofs dissapear! It is only the roofs-see attached screencaps. As you come closer its perfectly fine. This is an issue because I need to create an overview video + screenshots for the homeowner and I can't with the roofs looking like this. Things we have tried:
Re-export the .dae
Made a new lumion file
Tried multiple computers

1 thing we think might be an issue is the roof is a "generic model" in revit, reason being is it gives me much more flexibility in roof creation than roof by footprint. The problem itself looks like a draw distance problem, but  revit doesn't support this and if lumion does-how do I increase the draw distance?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, the client is coming to the office soon!

Hi achris03

Please add your Lumion 5 license key to your forum Account (click here, scroll to the bottom and enter your license number).  Previously requested: High End Residential houses on the water.

Thanks in advance.

Check the materials and see if you have added a Flicker Reduction slider to the roof.  This could cause it to merge in to other materials. See topic: Elements from Revit import don't render properly from distance Lumion 5.7.2 (registered Commercial Section of forum  ;))

PeterM,

Question in regards to the License (I can happily PM it to you because we have bought one) but it is under my Boss's name/account who originally purchased the pro License and I don't want to register it under my name, unless you can register it on two accounts which I don't think you can do. So in this situation what should I do because we did purchase it and I do not have access to his Lumion account-but I do have the key and activation code etc.

Also good call on the flicker, I guess I changed it on a previous job and saved the flicker setting. All fixed thanks a bunch!!!!!!
Also please contact me about the key, I don't want you thinking I am not using a legit copy of lumion.

Hi achris03, not to worry - you can use a single license key for more than one forum account.

Once you've registered the license, you automatically get access to the Commercial Users' forum sections which you can't see at the moment :)
IMPORTANT: Please do not send private messages and emails to members of staff - unless we specifically ask you to send us sensitive information, for example License Keys.

Hi achris03

Ditto: as Morten mentioned.

Good to hear the model is now working  :).

The other option is sometimes the Flicker Reduction value is too large, it's a very small value range and needs the Shift key to change, or the value can be typed in.
