Does anyone here provide rendering services for Lumion? We maybe creating numerous models and rendering time is the major obstacle in this process. If we could outsource the rendering that would be of interest. Or is there another way to 'farm' out our existing bank of computers to use as a rendering engine - we have like 30 computers on the floor, but only one Lumion license. This maybe another alternative we are thinking about doing to speed up rendering time if possible.

Anyone have experience with this?

There's a recent similar discussion.

Lumion does not provide for cloud, farm based or batch rendering.  At present it requires access and passing the scene data to the dedicated GPU of the PC doing the rendering.

The almost 'absolute ' requirement for lots of rendering stations just to do some images or animation has changed with Lumion.  There's lots of users who seem to be producing large and often detailed scenes with their one and only PC.

Of course how much time is required to render does depend on the final render settings required, and also the complexity of the scene.

What many users do is plan to do their renders over night.

Options currently can include purchasing the standard License for other workstations.  Resellers and Act3D might also offer some price discounts for multiple seat arrangements.  There's also no 'render only' license available, was suggested in a recent discussion.

Also, some users are recently offering or preparing to offer outsourced rendering with their additional workstations they have on board.
IMPORTANT: Please do not send private messages and emails to members of staff - unless we specifically ask you to send us sensitive information, for example License Keys.
