Hi everyone

i am very new to lumion. trying to learn it. loving it till now.
i have a question that how can you reimport a specific object that has been edited later in 3dsmax and i want to replace it with older part in lumion. i know how to reimport thw whole model but i want to just reimport the lawn plane.

second question is i used a plain standard start up scene at lumion launch. my question is can i go back and change it to some other starting scene template after i have worked on it in lumion and i just want to change the starting template. lets say from plain to other type

thanks in advance

Hi 3dsmaxed.

Thanks for the contact and feedback  :).

1. You can import parts only of a model, if you have split the model in to parts.  Same Reload (re-import) process as you have done for the whole model.  So it's not possible to have some sort of breakdown of parts in Lumion of one Imported Model, and then select which parts need Reloading.

2. Unfortunately, no (assuming you have the public 7 day Trial from our web site).  It's a one way path from Start template to Scene.  That's not saying it is not possible.  In Lumion Pro there is a Merge feature that allows one Scene to be copied in to another Scene.

But you can change the Terrain or paint a different terrain look using the Terrain Paint preset (pic 1), as well as use the effects to do the same as in the other templates.

Are you aware there are two types of Trial edition available?  Please see our Knowledge Base Article: Is there a Trial version of Lumion?
