So I wish to apply the reflection plane to a curved surface.
Hi mjb11800, the tooltip text for the (+) button is '
Add Plane', and once you've clicked that button it says '
Click a standard material or glass to add a plane'. In other words, reflection planes only work on flat (planar) surfaces such as floors, windows etc.
b)If so, how do I cover the entire material?
If a material is reflective and you haven't applied a reflection plane to it via the
Reflection effect, it will use less accurate
projected reflections. There's more information about this reflection type in the
Tips, Tricks and Shortcuts post.
Oh and in future updates, please please please can we have volumetric lighting that works with spotlights at night with the fog/dust (etc) special effect?
