Topic: Question on free edition featuers

Hi,

I'm thinking of playing with the latest free demo to see if I can potentially attract clients before splashing out on the full version. But I have a few questions about the free version...

- I looked at the 2011 competition winners and it says 'made with free version' in the corner. Which free version is this? as it was made in 2011 would it be an older version than the one currently available?

- My biggest concern about the free version is the limitation of only 1 material per category, it seems like one couldn't even put together a decent demo with so few materials in. But could you instead make your own materials?

There have been several updated versions since the 2011 competition so the answer for the first question is: yes, that's an older version than the currently available.

As for the second question: yes, you can use your own materials (in fact, I almost never use the provided Lumion materials except of course the Landscape materials but they are all available in the free version, too).

Why don't you give it a try? After all, it's "free"!

I have one of those horrible monthly download limits is why I wanted to ask. Not a small download

Also if you download now the new 2.5 installer and decide to buy Lumion you can just link the licence to your account and you are up and running with a commercial version. No new download todo.

Hi stayinwonderland, in Lumion FREE 1, we only included 1 material in each category.

However, in Lumion FREE 2.5 you can use 1 material from each category, but all the materials are included so you have more choice.
