Purchase Tree Library

Hello

I have Lumion 3.0 Pro and have been having difficulty finding additional trees for the existing library to use in my models. So far I have found that the only supported software is speedtree 5.1 which is now an old version, overly expensive and unsupported (tech support) by the speedtree company.

Growfx was another option but only works through 3dsmax which I do not have.

At this time I am open to just buying trees from someone or company that makes trees which will work in Lumion 3.0. Does anyone know of a purchasable tree library or modeler that will create custom trees for Lumion?

Or is there any other software I should check into that can be compatible for Lumion 3.0?

Any help is greatly appreciated, this have been an exhaustive search with no real solution so far.

I do not believe these are speedtree models, so they won't be animated in Lumion, but they look damn nice. And Michael is a member of the forum here, as well.

I thought GrowFX had a stand-alone version which exported to FBX?

Trees and all plants are specially prepared in order to work optimally in Lumion for real-time purposes, so if they are imported from elsewhere, there could be some impact on ability to build scenes and render times.

There are many resources for trees such as general via TurboSquid and some providers also prepare low polygon models as well as some more specially targeted for real-time environments.

Also there's professionally designed trees from modelling services such as Evermotion.org.

Models that have texture mapping for leaves are preferred over polygon based plants.  What is used also depends on how many are needed in a scene, refer comments this post: Plants in Lumion 3

Models will only be static - no wind animation as there is no connection from them to the Lumion Wind settings, and animating them for wind would add substantially to size of animation file required to be run in real-time.

Yes indeed my last tree collections are Lumion3D ready (.ls3 files). (dead trees and desertHD).
For the others you can drag & drop the .fbx into Lumion and it works with the known limitations
of no wind bending and LoD.

All my trees are real-time optimized. One of my rock collections even became stock models in Lumion. ;)

I also launched a special tree configurator last weekend:

Just in case you need something very unique.

I use GrowFX for the models plus a good amount of hand work and Photoshop to make it useable in games / real-time.
If you need more than a collection just drop me a mail and I set you up a discount voucher.
