Notwithstanding your impressive computer specifications, I have never been that impressed by Movie Maker Live, and even less than the former bundled Window's Movie Maker 2.0 - 2.6, which limited imports, along with other glitches. You might do better with Adobe Premiere, or Magix Movie Plus 16 , which - if you are going to do alot of this sort of thing - is a better, long term investment.
Note: Some of us were not happy about the conditions of the competition entry 2011, that the end product file had to be in MP4 format. The results were not alway good, compared with other formats. Another issue.
