PROBLEM WITH STARTING THE SOFTWARE

I've installed Lumion 2.5 Free for several times. Each time I start the program and select the scene, after few seconds, it displays a message: NOT THE SAME! 1024
When I hit OK or Close, it shows another:NOT THE SAME2! 512. After that: desc4.Width 64.
Then, only way to close it is with task manager.
I've tried with older versions, but I get the same problem.
When I installed Lumion few months ago on my laptop, everything worked fine (except that the laptop was weak). Now when I have a desktop PC, I cannot use Lumion3D. And I need it desperately for my Masters Degree graduation presentation.
Can anyone help with advices.

Hi edvin.barcic, it sounds like your graphics card isn't powerful enough to run Lumion.

There's more information here:

Truth to be told, I don't have graphic card on my PC. I've spent all my money on processor, SSD and RAM. Seems I'll have to buy one. Any suggestions? 350$ top.

There's a list here (including prices):

TIP: Make sure that your power supply is adequate for the graphics card that you choose.

I have Thermaltake 500W Black Edition. I think that's adequate enough. The PC configuration has been selected carefully for 3D rendering, but to save money, I didn't bought graphics card. Now you're making me do so! :@
:D
Thanks a lot for your help. Very helpfull.

Hmm, they recommend an 800W power supply for top-end cards such as the Nvidia GTX 680, so you'll have to be very careful.

A GTX 560 Ti is probably the fastest card that still works with a 500W power supply.

That's a good advice. Thank you. I'll ask my budget if it can stretch for a new power supply. :D

By the way, the brand new GTX 660 Ti even works with a 450W power supply. It's got 2Gb RAM and the launch price is $299.

I have the same problem, and its about LUMION ı thing,
Cause: ı have HD4000 and for lumion it says min. GTX 9800 so on ATI side it is HD3000 (9800 value) HD 4000 is stronger and DirectX 11 card,
I cannot use lumion now.. ı was using it also 1 year along with HD4780 with best performance :((
Not the same! 1024"
"not the same2 512!"
"desc4.Width 64"

This is a critical problem about LUMION and integrated graphic cards,

This is a critical problem about LUMION and integrated graphic cards,

If you have an integraded card you should look carefully at the amount of dedicated memory on the card. Below 1Gb you could expect problems, 512Gb is the absolute minimum to run Lumion.

I agree we could probably more clear, since we generally not recommend Intel on-board cards, but  NVidia and ATI, with a strong preference for NVidia.

This 1024MB memory,  is it dedicated memory or shared memory?

I don't know the exact specs of that card, but in general: if it hits the minimum required to run Lumion you should strongly consider buying a better graphics card when you use Lumion in your production pipeline.
