I was wondering if there are scenes like of cities already made in Lumion somewhere where I can import my project to or does everything have to be custom made for each project? Thanks

You would generally need to make your own.  There are no Lumion pre-made or template scenes other than those provided with Lumion (see New and Examples).

Note that for Lumion it is not possible to have some sort of template for one scene and merge that in to another scene.  You need to start with a base scene (empty or existing scene populated), and then add and update to create the new scene.

It could be possible maybe for one of the users who has prepared a city or other city scenes to provide that as a service.  Many of course are done for clients so cannot be on-sold.

How much would you be prepared to pay for the skill and expertise of someone to pre-build (from a base empty scene) for you, and which city, how many buildings, how much detail for the buildings etc?

Other options would include purchasing a city from 3d resources sites such as TurboSquid, or Trimble Warehouse, and others, then using that as the starting point to build your city.

hi peterm, i want to recall my old wish of importing lumion scenes into each other,
a master / slaves system would really be a hit
in my concept, you could be able to import different lumion scenes into a master lumion scene whith full scene-functionality and a reload of scenes separately or all at once would be possible.
by this, whe even would become a wider lumion terrain range....(just a dream of mine).
in the master file then, you would have unlimited numbers of videos and views, all this  save /reloadable....and so on and so on,....

Hi Stan

Yes, I recall the suggestion  :).  It would add power to that part of initially bringing the scene together, as well as reduce some duplicated steps for each new project.

Just a thought, but one 'problem' that it would need to overcome, is ensuring that objects in one scene template that are duplicates in another do not both get merged.  Otherwise the scene ends up with multiple objects in the same position (for example hundreds or thousands of trees!), or maybe lots of unwanted objects etc, which could really impact on rendering out the scene, as well as time spent trying to find and remove the unwanted objects.

As it is the Wishlist topics in the Commercial Users section that are looked at by the dev team, please feel free to return or start anew a topic in those Wishlist boards.
