Sounds very much like you might need more RAM.
What is your hardware configuration, e.g. system RAM, graphics card and onboard memory, Windows 32- or 64-bit?
Only the 64-bit version of Windows lets applications such as Lumion use more than 3.5gb of system RAM.
hum...i play with a i7-870, 6Go Ram with quadro pro 600 1Go, windows 64bit.
dunno if 6Go Ram is enough or if it comes from the cgcard.
I've think about the ram problem, but i can make animation, so i guess a still image isn"t a problem.
I imported a 6 million triangle mesh without problems. took some time and happend by accident because i misses to turn off a turbosmooth modifier but it worked nice in lumion
I think i'm over the 6M and I've no problem when i import, i"ve placed them on different layers, i can hide some when i flytrhough. ('cause its jerky sometimes and i think this is the cgcard here)
I think my models are optimized as much as possible, and as the animation work well, its why i ask for still image.
In and of itself, i don't need the still images for this project, i just do animation test with huge modeling.
This one is really huge so i think i'll can make some architectural demo without any problem in the future but maybe my computer reach his limit on it, and this is good to know before buying Lumion.
What is the 'ideal" config if i decide to take Lumion and have a dedicated computer ? i saw about the nvidia Gtx models... Sli config ? around 12Go ram ? a war machine so...
