Hello there.

Wonderfull tool is Lumion, Yeah readily !

BUT...
Working with evaluation version of 7.5 version :

I've just noticed that Road borders modeled with Sweep 3dsmax modifier are not displayed with correct UVW coordinates...

The problem appear when the scale is modified.
I noticed that the coordinates seems corrects when i zoom a lot on the object.
For info.
The objects are textured in Real World Scale in my Max file.

I think you mean the texture scale in the material?
A value of 0 means the model is using the UVs that you created for the model.
For every other value it will use the auto mapping feature in Lumion.

So if you want to scale you texture size and want to use your own UVset you have to make the adjustments in 3dsMax itself.

Mhhh...

You mean that Lumion doesn't accept Real World Size Texture, and i need to adjust coordinates with 0 to 1 values in my Max file.

It's a pity. Why ?!

Because a lot of models that are imported into Lumion don't have (proper) UVs, so that is why auto UV mapping is preferred over scaling the existing UVs

And it is easy to reload your model when you changes the UVs in your modelling/CAD program.

Hi harnelbe

This Knowledgebase Article explains things about Scale.  It's for the Standard Material, but the UV management is the same if you just keep the surface with an Imported Material or one of the other Lumion materials.

What do the sliders & buttons in the Standard material do?
Quote
Scale: Material size.
If you assign a Standard material to a surface and set the Scale slider to 0, the material will use imported texture coordinates from your 3D modelling application instead of automatically applied texture coordinates.
If you assign a Standard material to a surface and set the Scale slider to more than 0 the material will switch to automatically applied texture coordinates. Rectangular textures are always re-scaled so that they are square in Lumion.

Please also refer (if not already done so) to our Model Import Guide for 3ds Max: 3D Studio Max: How do I export a model?

Are you aware we also have Pro Trial for evaluation that is at the new current version?  See our Knowledge Base Article: Is there a Trial version of Lumion?

Thanks for your quick feedback  peterm and  Floyd

I contacted my french resalor about testing  8.5 version.

I think it good be better, in next version to have an option, as a checkbox like : Keep Real World Size
in materials editor of selections.

Best regards !
