Topic: Number of passes while rendering image

i noticed that on Poster setting, 7680x4320, the number of passes is 256 on one machine but 1024 when i do the same thing on a different machine.

whats that all about?

Graphics cards with limited memory need to render the large poster-format images in smaller tiles.

However, if the graphics card on that machine has got enough memory, you might as well disable the low memory mode in Settings:
Settings -> Enable Low mem compatibility -> Off
