This may have been discussed somewhere else at some point, but the video from Lumion is .mp4 which is pretty much a final compression format. That means that converting mp4 to anything is drastically going to reduce quality. I'm not sure of the exporting options on Lumion Free, but if you can render each frame as an image and then use another program to create a video from the images, you will get better compression and quality than re-compressing the already compressed .mp4 from Lumion.
As far as creating video from images, I actually use Blender just because that's what I used to do this type of job in the past and never looked into something different. FormatFactory may do that too as well as saving it in many different formats and quality levels.
