Hello, I have one question about a watermarks on final video in Lumion Free 3.2
When I made the final movie I`ve been seeing a some deformations of watermark on video looks like a "waving flag". After I had added video on YouTube I saw that not stable watermark is degrades the quality of the video. :( I don`t know whether it should be so or not. Explain what I was made wrong, please.
Preview is here http://lumion3d.com/forum/gallery/cafe-on-the-black-sea-coast-(lumion-free-3-2)/

Hi Serge, the watermark is indeed animated.

Thanks for your feedback on how this affects the compression on YouTube - I'm sure the developers didn't intend for the compression to be adversely affected.

Lumion video is output at high quality with some compression, but high bitrate, so when it gets converted by UT the quality can be reduced, sometimes badly.

To improve it, use a video converter to reduce the bitrate.  See these recent comments.

To improve it, use a video converter to reduce the bitrate.  See these recent comments.

I`ve been experimenting with bitrate using Freemake Video Converter.
Original Lumion video file has bitrate 17 900 kbit/sec and file size 630 mb (lenght 5 min). I made one copy with 10K (300 mb) and second with 5K (100 mb) in AVI format. After adding on YT the both pictures does not look well in quality 360p however the first variant is little better in HD 720 (animated watermark is not distorted). I`ll have added 10K on Vimeo and see what happens.

This may have been discussed somewhere else at some point, but the video from Lumion is .mp4 which is pretty much a final compression format. That means that converting mp4 to anything is drastically going to reduce quality. I'm not sure of the exporting options on Lumion Free, but if you can render each frame as an image and then use another program to create a video from the images, you will get better compression and quality than re-compressing the already compressed .mp4 from Lumion.

As far as creating video from images, I actually use Blender just because that's what I used to do this type of job in the past and never looked into something different. FormatFactory may do that too as well as saving it in many different formats and quality levels.

Hope that makes some sense. :)
