Hi everyone,
sorry for my mistakes, i've lost my english at school :p
i've Lumion 2.5 and use it in a laptop (4Go memory, Intel core 2 Quad Q9000 and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 465 1024Mo -> 2303Mo) it works fine even if i use the highest quality for preview but i lose my glass reflexions when i render.
i've tried with a lumion sample but get the same problème, or export from Sketchup a new model with double sided textures or not but same again.
What can i do please???  :'(

Hi hopenix, the glass still seems to be present on your rendering, but as you noticed, it's not as reflective as in the preview in Build mode.

1) Have you tried to increase the reflectivity of the glass material or did that not help?

2) Did you render the second image in Photo mode or in Movie mode?

3) If you rendered it in Movie mode, which effects have you applied to your clip?

4) Can you also post a screenshot of the entire screen in Build mode please (including the Window title bar)?

Hi all and thx to Morten for your post,

- i've tried to change the properties of the glass materiel but i see that changes only in build mode, it seems useless in renders.
- All my renders are from the Photo mode, but i've the same problem for movies (all effects work but don't repare the reflectivity of the glass materiel  |:().

1) Which version of Lumion are you using? (Check in Settings)

2) Please run "DXdiag" in the Windows Start menu -> Click on "Save All Information", and attach the dxdiag.txt document to your next post (Click on "+ Additional Options" below the text field). This allows us to check which graphics card, Windows version and hardware you are using.

Hi hopenix, thanks for uploading your hardware specifications.

I can see that you have a HP Pavilion DV7 with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics card.

Unfortunately this card is not powerful enough to run Lumion without problems:

Thx again for your help, i tried Lumion1 free in my laptop and the reflectivity works well, it's look like Lumion 2  is a bit too hungry for me.
i activated the same lumion2 in another PC (DxDiag attached), it's really slow in build mode, i had to use the lowest quality settings to work (still hard to move) but the reflectivity was good  >:(

Hi hopenix, thanks for posting the DXDiag.txt.

The 2nd PC has a GeForce 8500 GT which is even worse than the HD 4650 card:
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=GeForce+8500+GT

It is unfortuntely way below the minimum requirement for Lumion, so your only option is to upgrade to a more modern graphics card.

Hi Morten, i noticed that the Geforce 8500 GT is worst than my Radeon but i don't know why the glass reflectivity works nice on this PC and not on my laptop.
i've to buy a better Pc anyway :'(

Thanks to you for your professionnalism, good luck and keep up the good work x)

hello, i hope that it will help some guys with same problem.
I installed all Windows updates and reinstall Graph.Card driver as precaution, i used a specific setting for Lumion.exe in AMD catalyst (choose best quality/ not performances) and now renders are perfects :')
Thanks all and have fun

PS: can't wait for Lumion 3 ;)
