missing ocean at horizon - bug or limitation?

hi, from the top of my skyscraper (hight = 500 m) there is a gap between ocean and sky at the horizon

situation:

build mode
ocean hight ca. 5 m, rising ocean higher does not help
shadowmaprange maximum

any idea for a better result? fog does not help....

I think this is already on the bugtracker list but I don't know if they can fix it.

There is also a gap between the fog and the horizon (unless you crank up the Fog falloff slider but then the entire scene gets very foggy).

I think you might be forced to import your own very large circular plane and apply a Water material to it to reduce the gap.

Hadn't noticed that before.

Get same here but the camera is about 2km up or more, rather than 500m, I think its in v2, not v1, going higher makes the gap worse up to a point.  And they said the world was not flat!! :-D

V3 preview mentions "Also notice how the new sky meets the ocean at the horizon." so maybe thats the fix.

Can only suggest maybe only going up to max height before the gap is appears, and if possible, avoid camera looking straight ahead to horizon, but look downward, or if the scene you are building is not extremely large, then make some terrain mountains to block out the backdrop/horizon.

thanx to both,

have surely to live with that, thanx for your ideas,
since my building is 550 m , mountains don't reall help because of the 2 x 2 km limitation of lumion,
anyway, somehow i will work around it.

hopefully 3.0 solves the problem.
