Material variantions based on one dae object possible?

Hi,

is there a trick how I can give a Lumion scene two diffrent material setups, like for example for day and night?
The problem I have is, that Lumion saves my material changes in the object library, that means that even when I save the different states of my scene in different Lumion files with the modified materials for day and night (emissive materials) the day scene has the same materials as the night scene which I have changed at last (not so easy to explain).

This can realy become a big problem when doing material tests on some imported objects in a lumion scene and later opening another scene with the same or some of these objects in it. You will then see that this scene has changed also!

Is the only chance I have to copy my dae file and import it once for the day scene and once for the night scene?
How can I make material test without changing m original scene?
