[Awaiting Reply] Lumion Trial Activation Issue

I registered and installed Lumion 7.5 trial on my computer and when I went to open it, I was told my graphics card wasn't capable and it closed.  A coworker of mine finished her free trial and I'd like to transfer my license to hers so I can use it on hers but don't know how to do so.  When we start Lumion on the other computer, it won't allow me to update any license info.

Hi jsaler

Welcome, and thanks for your interest in Lumion.

First, please attach to a post the Windows Diagnostics (DXDiag) Report. Refer our Knowledge Base Article: How do you attach a diagnostics report to a post?

This will help us determine how close your PC is to the specifications required for Lumion.

You can see the requirements by following our web site details here.

Anyway, to answer your question, it is not possible to just do a license transfer, as the license is included in the files you have received.  You need to (first uninstall the co-workers Trial version as that has now expired) and then install your licensed Trial on her PC.  You can do that by using the files you received, and running the installer exe over a network, or copy the installer files to her PC first.  The first option is preferred as it saves file space.

Are you aware of the two Trial options?  See our Knowledge Base Article: Is there a Demo or Trial version of Lumion?

I tried uninstalling the one on the other computer and installing from the files I downloaded and it was still giving an error message regarding an invalid key.

Thanks for forwarding the email.

Hmmm, I should be able to get the download manager from the link, but that's not happening, not sure why.

In any case, you have the files downloaded and installed.

I see that the license is currently in use on PC WKS-ZMISTRY-01.

Is the message you get an "In Use" message or invalid key?  Please attach to a post a screencapture of the message.

Will also await the Diagnostics Report from your PC (per my previous reply).

Please find the “Invalid Key” message I was getting attached as well as my own computer Diagnostic results for your use.

Odd that the my license is currently in use on the Zmistry computer and it won’t open.

Hi jsaler

Sorry for the bad news, but Lumion is not able to run on your PC.  It does not meet minimum specifications.  It has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 graphics card that has a Passmark of only 354  :o.  The absolute minimum is 2000.

The i5 CPU is 'reasonable' but on slow side, and there is sufficient system memory (RAM), however Lumion requires a suitable graphics card.  Please refer to our Knowledge Base Article: Which graphics card do you need?.

Do you have another PC that does meet specifications, other than your co-workers PC?

We can advise further on possible suitable graphics cards or PC alternatives if required.

Would also be interested to know the specifications of your co-workers PC (please attach a Diagnostics Report) so that we can advise you further on hardware compatibility.
