hi i have downloaded the trail version of lumion in my pc now i am traing to installed the trail version which was provided me through email but it shows error of the license may be invalid or the download manager is outdated.re-download it from latest download e-mail.
   i have also attached print screen of error kindly replay asap as i am trying for  trail version which is valid for 7 days so i dont have more time please replay asap

Hi

Thanks for the contact and screencapture.

You have said that the Trial has been downloaded, so this is not a problem with the Download Manager.  And, you are trying to install the software.

Attached is an example of similar files downloaded for the Trial (mine show a slightly earlier 7.3 version, whereas yours is 7.3a).  Do you have all those files?

Do you have a file named  similar to "Lumion_7_3a_TRIAL_LUM7TRIAL_yourname.exe"?

That is the Installer application.  Simply run/double-click on the Installer.

If the files have not fully downloaded or the Download Manager is not able to proceed, then it is possible things like your antivirus software is blocking the complete download.  See Knowledge Base Article:   Why is the Download Manager not working?

ps: the Trial is available for any 7 days of 30.

Hi vivek487, you need to double-click on that file to start the Download Manager which will download the 4 installation files on Peter's screenshot.
IMPORTANT: Please do not send private messages and emails to members of staff - unless we specifically ask you to send us sensitive information, for example License Keys.

As i said i double click on file its ask for key

and as i give the trail key it say
the above error
that
the license may be invalid or the download manager is outdated.re-download it from latest download e-mail.

1) Can you confirm that you have copied the 'Activation Code' (not the License Number) from the Lumion 7.3 email and pasted it into the corresponding field in the Download Manager window?

2) If yes, it means that there is something on your computer that is preventing the Download Manager from writing to the harddrive. It's usually anti-virus and/or firewall software that causes this problem. Please follow these steps to resolve the problem:

Hi vivek487

Sorry to hear you are still having problems getting the files downloaded.  :(

It would help diagnose things if you can reply to Morten's question 1) to make sure you are using the correct code to run the Download Manager.

In 99.999995 of cases where there are download difficulties, the problem can be resolved by the steps we have in the Knowledgebase Article Morten and I have referred to.  Even though you may have followed all of those, then it could still mean there is some other firewall or monitoring software blocking the download from proceeding.

One other option is that the folder location does not have the required write file permissions needed to save files.  Has the Download Manager been saved to your "Downloads" folder?  You could try moving the Download Manager to another folder such as "Desktop" where you should have full permissions to read/write files.

To check your Download Manager, please forward the email from Act-3D titled "Getting started with Lumion" that has the link to the Download Manager and shows the License Key and Activation Code, to us at [email protected]  We will then test the download to see if it's working on a different PC at a different location than yours.

One other option.  Delete the Download Manager exe file you already have.  Then click on the email link for the download.  This will re-download the Download Manager again, but it should also fill in the correct Activation Code for you automatically.  Does that work?

If those do not work, then try downloading from a different PC, and one that is outside of your current PC environment or even outside of the organisation.

Hi Archi, welcome to the Lumion Support Center - you have done the right thing by posting your question here as this is the only place where we provide technical support. ;)

As the error message is suggesting, there is a problem with read/write permissions, so Lumion is unable to start up.

1) Does it work if you right-click on the Lumion.exe file in the Lumion 7.3 installation folder and select 'Run as administrator'?

2) If not, does it work if you temporarily disable your anti-virus software?
