Lumion Scene export question

Hi,

Just a confirmation needed : Are the 3D models, sounds and video textures embedded into a .ls5 scene file so that the .ls5 file may be opened by another user and the will 'see' those textures and sounds?

Many thanks.
Charl.

Hi charl, yes - those files are embedded in the LS5 file.

However, please note that there is one exception: if you add an MP4 as a clip in Movie mode, that MP4 file will not be embedded in the LS5 file. The reason it's not embedded is that you might end up with huge LS5 files, since there is no limitation on the size of MP4 files that can be added as clips in Movie mode.

TIP: When opening an LS5 file on another PC, Lumion 5.7+ checks if MP4 files that are used as Video Clip types are available in the same location as the LS5 file.

In other words, even though MP4 files used as Video Clips are not embedded in LS5 files, you can work around this limitation by moving the MP4 files manually when you transfer the LS5 file to another PC :)
