Lumion SCCM Install

Hi Guys,

We are looking at deploying Lumion via an SCCM deployment task sequence.  I have tried /silent and /verysilent switches.  I am running the install program we were given (with our license in it), when I run this from a batch file it  does not keep monitoring the process meaning that SCCM will think the application has intalled and move to the next task in the sequence when in really it has only just started installing.

Has got Lumion installing as part of a TS?

Alternatively we used Thinapp and Appv for virtualising applications.  Has anyone packaged Lumion?

Hi Bruce

Have passed your query on to our staff member responsible for the installer.

The only other topic relating to network deployment requirements mentions this:

I've used USSF to find out the installer was created with Inno Setup and can use the following switches /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART /SP-.

Note: Lumion should of course only be deployed to PC's that meet/are above minimum specs.  This would avoid installing on some devices which on trying to run LUmion will cause a crash and possible lock of license until reset.

A TS is?

If these are Remote Desktop based, then note Lumion does not support.  See topic: System Requirements in Products

Hi

I am advised that as per my earlier post, silent/verysilent is the only options.  Other deployment tools and possible settings for those are of course outside of our control.

To confirm, the installer is Inno Setup.

If the deployment tool does not monitor the Windows messages from the setup application to Windows so you can be advised when the setup opens the Install Completion window for a user, then my only other idea would be to maybe do it per time, say allow a good 20 minutes per workstation.

Thanks,  I had a feeling it might come to this.  I'll use a timer.
