Oh no, Saffa - what a nightmare.

Do a Windows system scan: Windows Start -> Type 'cmd' without the quotes and press 'Enter' twice -> Type 'sfc /scannow' without the quotes and press enter.
This will locate and correct any corrupted files in Windows.
If that doesn't resolve the problem, try contacting Asus technical support.
They will almost certainly ask you to restore it to the factory condition (so they can rule out software issues).
