I installed an educational version of Lumion 6.0.1 through my university on my new laptop a few days ago and the first time I opened the program it ran fine. Now, when I open Lumion the small start up box displays for a few seconds then disappears. Lumion can still be found in Task Manager (see image) but can't be seen in the taskbar or used in any way. It is definitely not an issue with specs - I have a GTX 1050ti and an i7 that both scored very well when I first opened Lumion. I've tried re-installing Lumion, but still have the same problem. I previously had this same version of Lumion installed on an older laptop and it worked fine on multiple instances, albeit a little slow.

Today I decided to try the 5.3 Demo to see if that would have the same issue. Everything installed fine and it ran perfectly the first time I opened it, then I tried closing Lumion and opening it again and the same issue occurred!

I don't understand what is happening, and I'm frustrated because Lumion is one of the reasons I bought my new laptop. Everything else is running fine on my pc, and I've also tried running Lumion with the integrated graphics and the same startup issue occurs.

Any possible solutions would be appreciated!

Welcome to the Lumion Support Center.

Please see this support topic: Please register your license to get technical support.

Once you do that we can assist with the issue.  Registering will then give you access to the other Boards you currently don't see.  It will also result in this topic not being available as it is in the Guests area.  So start a new topic in the "Support for Lumion Educational & Individual Student versions" Section - General Questions, and I will merge or move this one so we can get underway.
