Here is my wishlist for Lumion,
-increase the number of layers
-lighting fixtures ( e.g. lamp post ) in lumion should have integrated light in them that can be turned on and off and with night detection option as well, and as they lit up, the bulb should turn lit as well, the materials cannot be changed right now.
-for the humans, there should be an option to make the hair black/blonde, skin color can be changed, and clothes if possible
-the headlights for the vehicles should have a light source built in as well

-if you move an object upward or downward, then you want to move it sideways, you lose the height of the  location of the object which is troublesome, i don't know if i'm missing a step that's why the object goes back to it's original height when moved sideways, but i wish that it would maintain it's location as well.

-there should be atleast some basic editing capabilities of the imported model in lumion, like deleting a face/object, or duplicating an item, it will be very helpful if that happens, as a small revision will still make you re-import the whole model, if the project is small then no problem, but if the project is complex then it will take some time..

-overall, in the right hands, lumion is a great tool for architectural visualisation, especially with animations and videos..

btw, can i buy lumion and pay it per month? haha, i just can afford that one time price, thank you..

Hello again, rockstarmsg, thanks for the +1s (all of the above have also been suggested by other users in the hidden forum sections for commercial users).

-if you move an object upward or downward, then you want to move it sideways, you lose the height of the  location of the object which is troublesome

Hold down the Shift key while moving the model to ensure that it only moves along the horizontal plane.

I understand why you're saying this, but it will never be implemented. The reason is that the original model and the Lumion model will become out of sync. The next time you re-import the model, there would be no way for Lumion to know what you'd want it to do with the faces that you have moved/deleted (the face ID numbers would change the moment you modify the model in your 3D modelling application).

I don't know where you're located, so I can't answer that question. Please click here to contact your local reseller. They'll be able to tell you if payment via monthly installments is available in your region.

Hope this helps. :)

-i believe there should be a way, its like when you re-import the model, there should be a warning/prompt in the screen that says, "do you want to preserve the changes you made in the model?", well i really don't know if it's possible in lumion specs, but you said so that it will not be implemented..

-we'll contact the reseller then to check if installment is possible with them.

-thank you

Sorry but it's not that simple. A message like that would not magically solve the underlying paradox. :)

If it were possible to delete/move some faces in the model in Lumion and you clicked on the 'Re-import' button, Lumion would only be able to overwrite your changes with a complete replacement of the existing model (and your changes in Lumion would simply be discarded).

As I tried to explain in my previous post, the reason is that Lumion have no way of matching up the face ID numbers of the faces you have deleted/moved in Lumion with the face ID numbers of the updated model that you are re-importing. This is due to the way face ID numbers are stored in the model data index in 3D modelling software. When you change the model in the 3D modelling software, the face ID index is constantly re-organised and the numbers will never match. For that reason, your proposal will unfortunately never be implemented in Lumion, so you'll have to continue to make changes to the model in your 3D modelling application.
