[Resolved] Lumion Demo Download Manager Problems

Hello,

We are currently trying to download the free trial of Lumion.  The Lumion Demo download manager is stalling at 99% complete or stalling on "processing downloaded files, please wait..."  We have tried re-downloading multiple times and on multiple machines.  We have also tried the suggestions posted here:

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi mwilsonhmcompany, this means that something on your PCs is preventing the Download Manager from verifying that all the installation files have been downloaded in their entirety.

Can you post a screenshot of the downloaded files please? (ideally with the full file extensions - click here to see how to turn them on)

The image "Lumion 1" attached below is the only file that I currently see on my desktop, which is the location from which I ran the download manager.  The files in "Lumion 2" attachment below are stored in my C drive's app data - I do not know if these files are relevant.  Is there another location I should be looking for files?

The installation files should be located in the same folder as the Download Manager.

There's no files there, correct?

Which anti-virus software are you using?

I assume you already whitelisted the Download Manager but have you tried to temporarily disable your anti-virus software to see if it helps?

We are using AVG Business Edition (v3556).  We have tried completely disabling AVG, and the Download Manager yields the same result.

Hi mwilsonhmcompany, thanks for the update.

It should normally never be necessary but try to whitelist all the temporary files (on your first screenshot) as well as the Download Manager in Windows Bitdefender.

1) You're not using any other security software that restricts read-write access on these PCs?

2) Has the relevant Windows user profile got full read-write access to the location where the Download Manager is running at?

I believe our I.T. Dept. had to adjust some network security settings, rather than the settings for my local machine.

By the way, I ought to mention that there are two 'trial' based versions:

1) Lumion Demo 5.3:  A Demo version (available from the link in 'Try' menu above this forum), which is Save Disabled and without MyLumion functionality, but there's no time limit.

2) Lumion Pro 6.3 7-day Trial: A fully functional 7-day Trial version of Lumion Pro 6.3 available via resellers (generally for those interested in evaluating for purchase decisions).

In other words, if you want to test the latest version, you should get in touch with your local reseller to request the 7-day trial version.
