Topic: Lumion Competition (Temporary plug in request)

Hello, Lumion Team & Forum Members,

In order to make the competition more interesting and highly competitive, I am suggesting that a similar plugin functionality that has been given to Lumion service pack 2 build 5 free version should be temporarly opened for the licenced lumion basic users too for this period of the competition only. The free version as it stands has more functionality than licenced lumion basic build 7. I love the weather plugin for ocean, waterfall plugin. Also the new grass, trees, and hedges, the depth of field movie effect, import of animmated content etc.

This is just a suggestion. I am torn in between, either to enter the competition with lumion free version or with lumion basic licenced version .... I don't know what do you think fellow lumion basic licenced users???

Well remember that you can create your scene in the Basic version first and benefit from the extra content that is not available in the Free version. Then switch to the Free version to use the effects that are in that version. All you have to do is move the LumionFree.exe into your build 7 install directory start it and load your scene. Remember that you can't open it again in your Basic version after you switch to Lumion Free. Also you are not allowed to use that scene for commercial use. Also you need to copy your scene from the Lumion folder to the LumionFree folder.

We will release the build 7 version of the free version soon so you can use that LumionFree.exe in that release to mix with your Basic version. That way a Basic user is able to almost match a Lumion Ultimate user with a movie for the competition. You will of course have the watermark but that isn't a limiting factor in the competition.

I'm pretty sure it won't work unless Lumion Free and Basic are identical builds, so try again once Lumion Free SP2 Build 7 has been released early next week.
