Ferry,
Â
I think if people know the schedule for software release, they can budget it in for the year. Â Lets face it, Lumion is less expensive than most if not all rendering / animation packages. Â I know there are differences between the software...i think i saw a running list somewhere on the forum

, but overall it is one of the most cost effective solutions out there. Â
Maybe because the software is so young and there are advancements every week if not everyday, it would make sense for a 6 month release schedule. I think people will be happy if they have a stable version before upgrade, as they purchased it with the current specs at that time.  If they want further features, they will need to upgrade...or maybe you allow for 15% savings if someone waits for 2 releases before upgrade and 30% if someone upgrades immediately.  This would help all.
Have you thought of a subscription style upgrade opportunity?  Autodesk has this type of system, it may be beneficial for Lumion as well.  Just thought i would give my 2 cents.
