Hello everyone..

How can i use lumion3d to make animation but black edge style
i exported my 3d model with collada format with edges but the final result is not strong enough for my presentation ..
Then i exported my 3d model with colllada format but with no edges exportation and i used Manga effect  in lumion but its not matching sketchup style..

My question :
Anyone know another ways to get clear & strong black edge style of faces

Do you have some sample renders and screencaptures so we can compare the Lumion renders to a SkUp display with edges?

Manga of course affects the whole image so the edges are just getting emphasised for the black, and if you are wanting only edging wider/stronger then this does not really fit the requirement.

In the new version 4 there is a new Cartoon Effect that gives some control over the Outline Width, but again this is a full image effect.  The Free version of 4 has not yet been released.

Using some of the other effects such as Color Correction will not really help either.  Something like a 2D Flat image (without lighting) is what you might be seeking, but Lumion does not have that.

I would say, go with what there is, with the export with edges.

I attached the two styles 1st one is belong to sketchup style showing the strong black edge and not pixeled as shown. and the second attachment refere to lumion product is showing the edges still weak and pixeled i think that the problem its not related to render output but the problem with lumion .. Lumion considering edges = very thin faces .. this is my analysis..

Yes, you are right in that the edges in SkUp get converted to lines (3d object).

i found the problem.. when i am rendered the model in lumion with 1920*1080 i found the edges appears very nice.. then i have to render my videos with the same setting 1920*1080 ... (which is not included in free version)

In Free v3.2.1 that resolution is included as part of the feature set of the Free version.

So now I am confused as to which version you finally used for the attached render?

Hi peterm there is no reason for your confusion.. lumion 2 includes 1920*1080 for Photos only this is appears in my attach..

the problem with me to make Movie animation which isn't available in version 2
 but its available in free 3.2.1 but with watermark..
