so far i only have used lumion free and i'm planning to buy lumion 3.0. will the full price (not the update price) be the same as for 2.5? or should i buy 2.5 with the included 3.0 update??

Hi Carloh, I don't know if the price of Lumion and Lumion Pro will remain the same after 3.0 is launched, and I am not aware of any plans to change the price. As with any other business, I guess the developers of Lumion will raise or lower the price as they see fit, depending on how things go after the launch.

Getting 2.5 now with a free 3.0 upgrade (as opposed to waiting for a few months) will give you more time to use Lumion, so the question is whether you already have projects lined up that would benefit from using Lumion?

I am very disappointed to have logged in tonight to buy the upgrade, only to see that the price went up. I literally missed it by 5 minutes. I was under the assumption that the deadline worked on the users local time.

The deadline's timezone was not noted on the website anywhere.

Here I am in NY on at 7:15PM EST, and I missed the upgrade deadline by 5 minutes and I pay $388.23 more?

The early bird discount is not over yet. It lasts until the release of Lumion 3.0. On the website you can also see that the price will raise in november, not october. I'm not sure what order you tried to place, but as far as I can see the discount on Pro 2 to Pro 3 upgrades is still being applied. If you are not sure about it contact sales [at] act-3d.com to help you with your purchase.

Keep in mind the price on the website is in Euro's...not dollars...and there is a a conversion rate.  For instance today one US dollar is .7772 Euro's.  This means the software here in the US (as of today's rate) is $1800.09...which translates to 1399 Euros.  This might be where the confusion lies...

Lumion pricing has become too hefty. Lumion started at an attractive price of 799Euros complete with all functionality. Lumion now costs 3499Euros for first time users. A person upgrading from lumion ultimate (once top of the range) now has to pay 1799 Euros if you do not catch an early bird at 1399 Euros. The price has risen by 400% in the last 2 years. I think Lumion team should just reveal what version 3.0 contains all at once. This one item per week revelation is not helping at all. Reveal everything so people can decide on whether to catch an early bird or not. Catch a bird with fewer wings or not. My apology for sounding hard.
