Is that we have new details on the blog lumion 3.0?
Hi IP_jeanlo, I've replied to that question in the announcement thread:

Hi Morten,

I might have missed this in the forum, but I was wondering if there is an actual release date set for Lumion 3.0? or is it just some time in November?

Hi Derek, our internal deadline is the 1st of November but whether that will come true is an open question. It depends on many factors, one of which is how many bugs the beta testers find :)

Take your time crushing those bugs with the beta team.

Better that than having another buggy release.  |:(

This is absoletly non-sense that if i want to save money, i have to buy it without even knowing if it has what i want till the beginning.........................reflection.

The question is...would you upgrade if there is no change in reflection?

Right now if they tell me there's gonna be reflection...........Don't know if not............maybe for the simulated G.I. but not in a rush.

At this moment, i have to do my interior renders with C4D, nothing looks real without real reflection and G.I. for interior renders.

As far as I know, Truls will be sending a newsletter tomorrow which will announce the full line-up of features.

Hopefully the wait will have been worth it :)

Bear in mind that an upgrade to version 3.0 will include free updates until Lumion 4.0 is released in late 2013, so you're paying for more than just the announced 3.0 features.

As we've seen in previous years, those updates often include major new functionality and improvements.

Announcing the full feature list after the early bird has passed doesn't sound like you really care for your customers who have been asking for this information for a long time, so they can make informed decisions.

While I feel your distress, I come to a different conclusion. The fact that Lumion is being offered at all at an early bird price point is going above and beyond what they need to do for their loyal customers. Do you receive a discounted price for buying Windows 8 early? The reality is these guys (and gals?) are in business and need to be paid for their efforts in creating this software. In just about every other product out there you'd pay full price the day it comes out with no option for an early purchase discount. If you are willing and able to put your money up without having all of the information you may get a better deal, if not then you can still buy it at the regular price just as you would if you wanted to upgrade to a new OS or a new car or any other product. I am grateful for the opportunity to purchase this software early, I may not be after it comes out if it doesn't live up to my desires but, understanding the rules as they have been laid out for all to play by, I am glad to have a choice. I worry that they won't give us the choice to buy at an early bird discount in the future because of all the hassle. Do you like having a choice? (rhetorical)
