Realtime GI is good news indeed

Remko, I agree that the speed is a priority, at least for me it is, but that doesn't mean visuals must be compromised. Even a rough GI sampling will give much quality to the images, I don't think it is so much a bout every pixel getting the correct ray as to have the overall big chunks of light correctly computed.
One analogy would be an impressionistic rough painting style of a fine artist, no pixel accuracy, but the overall impression of the painting, the big brush strokes.
Geomerics Enlighten is used in FrostBite, and it looks great, and it is a very rough sampling. Cryengine also use a very rough approximation, but it is enough, because the speed gives the artist a better framework into making the image great, instead of waiting for the machine.
Looking forward to see more of the GI.
