Anyone wants to be the first one to try it and report how good the workflow is?

It seems like program developers , are able to acquire and buy certain software features ,
and implement them into their own program.

which might explain the similarity of certain programs

I´m a LumenRT user, and Vue Xstream.
I´ll play with the trial for a week, but I´m gonna upgrade for the Vue integration alone if works ok.

Loaded a 40mb Vue 10 scene very fast in draftmode, so looks promising.

So much interesting!!! It seems very similar to Lumion!

A comparison between Lumion and Lumen would be very nice, don't you think?
We should compare features' list and, even better, renders of the same model...
I'll try do download the demo...

But do they have a forum?

i agree with Ideaimmagine, it can be good to compare those two soft, and see what is better in each other... i'm curiuous to know if lument  is "restrained" as much as lumion

"restrained"  :D :D :D which subtlety.
I think from what I've seen and been able to test, Lumen does not work for large scenes, as does Lumion.

Is it stand-alone?  Or do you have to have it integrated with the "chosen" software?  Looks pretty good...do i see some shadow map flickering?  One of those interior scenes has some funny shadows on the chairs.  so... I'm sure it has it's pro's and con's like anything else.  Is 15 days enough time to really get to know it?  is it a full on opened up 15 day trial without restrictions?   can it export image sequence files?  Unlimited reflections? what's the catch?

I´m generating "wild thing" scene from Vue this moment so we´ll soon know the answer  ;)
I might have taken on a to complex scene though, at 18% prosessing with 20million objects done, just 80million left upps  ::)

"Edit"
Seems some objects in that scene make Lumenrt run out of mem, so I´m starting in the other end of the scala.

500x500m/25000 trees lowest settings, 2min generationtime for the livecube.

Can´t make the prosedural terrain material work, perhaps not supported.
Great detail from the hires dem though.

... here are some of biggest advantages of Lumion vs LumenRT:

1) Real time working in the environment as in LumenRT you have to prepare the complete model in another modeler (SketchUp).
2) Placing objects in Lumion
3) Real moving waves as LumenRT uses a flat transluscent texture with somekind of ripple effect with caustics (nice though)
4) cloud -/ wind settings
5) bigger models
6) animation movements are better

probably there are more advantages...

Only thing I miss in Lumion that Lumen RT has is real world position and days so you can test solar and seasonal conditions
