logo/ graphics applied to a surface?

I've yet to use Lumion and am wondering how one would add a logo or other graphic image onto a surface?  Is it a simple process of attaching/ mapping a jpg to a surface?  Thanks in advance for any pointers/ help.

Hi btfalcon71

Thanks for your interest in Lumion.

Yes, pretty much as simple as that.  Generally logos have transparent regions so you would want it to be a PNG with transparent background, and Lumion will automatically use that.  The texturing can be done in the 3D modelling application to set the material or added in Lumion as a Custom Standard Material.

It's also possible to use logos and banners as images added to clip Titling and animated (Pro version).

And also as Image Clips, special clips that consist of an image and have their own clip timing, used for things like banners and logos, credits etc.

Clips can also have overlays - an image added to the clip.
