Hi bcafer
In the normal course of creating a visualization, you create and work with a scene. You will start with one of the empty
New Scenes (templates), and add your own models, add entourage and create Photos and clips for a Movie. All this data about what the scene looks like and what is included in the scene, is saved and loaded from scene files.
The imported models are saved in their own files. Lumion Library content such as all the Objects and Materials (from the
Edit Materials Library) are in files installed as part of Lumion. The scene file basically stores what is used, the settings and from where all those external resources are located.
You load and save or saveAs scenes using the Lumion Files interface. By clicking on a thumbnail from the
Load Scene Tab, Lumion will load the scene file and all associated files used in the scene. Refer also your other topic:
saving and opening file in LumionUsers can also create a special copy of their scene for importing or exporting to or from other users. The file for this is a single LS(version) file that contains the scene data from above, plus the imported models and entourage models. All packaged in a single file. Pro users can create these (
Export Full Scene). Standard users can only import an LS from elsewhere.
LS files can be saved to any folder and are used to share projects. They are also used to send to clients for use with the Lumion Viewer.
