Hi Bob, thanks for uploading the scene files.
Lighting
When you made the screenshot, did you press F8 to turn on real-time shadows, so that you could preview what the lighting and the shadows would look like on the final rendering? I've got a feeling that F8 might have been turned off. This means that the lighting passes unhindered through all the objects. In addition, I think you might accidentally have placed the spot lights above the ceiling (I'd need your Library files to confirm if this is the case). The result would be that when you render an image in Photo mode, real-time shadows are turned on, but because the spot lights are placed inside the roof, you don't actually see any lighting from those light sources.
Reflections
If you lower the lights (and make sure that F8 is turned on), the amount of reflection that you see in Build mode should be the same as rendering that viewpoint in Photo/Movie mode.
