Level of detail on build mod

hello,
is it possible to create a model with different level of detail? like trees?
I want to model a building very detailed and lowpoly. The display will adapt depending on the distance. ? ::)

Although not entirely impossible, maybe :-\.

I wonder though if there is a need to do that in Lumion, maybe PC performance will require that if trying to push too much stuff through (like my lame system and GPU).  :(

Anyway, if needed you could achieve something similar, Lumion user interface of course does not allow handling of LOD and especially auto-LOD for models.

In Build Mode you would need to make use of layers and use Hide Layer in Movie Mode and put each of any pre-made LODs in separate layers, align and then set to Hide for different clips based on camera distance.

Lods are typically needed with game engines for the real time part only.
They require a good understanding of realtime 3D, scene setup, camera paths etc. and are usually not that easy to setup. As Lumion supports hardware instancing and is more then capable of rendering out mln's op polys there isn't much use for lod-support anyways.
It's more like a 'nice to have' as opposed to something majorly important.
