Hey Mapar,

What technique do you use to create your topography?  It looks great!

Ferry:
"In movie render it is not different. Only in realtime view right now. But we have fixed that."

Does that mean you have already posted an updated sp6 download?

Thanks
Holger

We're testing Build 7 internally at the moment. If we don't find any major new issues, you'll receive a new email with the announcement of the release plus a brief overview of the recent changes as usual.

In Build 7, the SpeedTree billboards will be rendered correctly again and cars won't look like shiny spaceships. You can also place objects much further away from the center of the scene now, and Marc has given the new grass objects a bit more polish.

Apart from those changes (and some other minor fixes), Ferry has added a useful new feature as a bonus, but I'll let that be a surprise which you can read about in the upcoming email :)

sorry to say this,

but there is something wrong with the lod.
sometimes some of the low-poly flowers and bushes are visible to the horizon ( it doesnt matter how far i zoom out )

than at another time i am working with lumion the same low-poly flowers and bushes fade out at some distance ...

this is the second time today this behaviour alters ...

SpeedTree LOD was indeed broken in Build 6, and the upcoming Build 7 will rectify this problem.

Hey Morten!

I can see I'm good at stating the obvious :-D

I used to drink a lot of coffee on the mornings that we let customers load a new piece.
I worried constantly about our source-safe and the  integrity of the whole build process...did I have a good test bed of customer files...what was I missing??....hmmm...ok lets do a code match guys.....""f" you bruce!" bounced back from the developers bull-pen.

I think it is great to see it happening...it is very exciting...I get caught up in it sometimes just listening to the chatter here.

Cheer!.....Good luck on 7

Hi,
I keep terrain maps from google maps, or bing maps.
For terrain in 3ds max i use splines to do level curves, and modify "terrain" to do the surface automatically.
