Graphic Card: Nvidia GeFORCE 9400 GT
RAM: 4,00 GB
CPU: Intel Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @2.40GHz
64 bits

I tryed the free version and it is so slow that seems I can even import a cube.

Thanks for help

Hi camarca.aniello - welcome to the Lumion forum.

The bad news is that you will definitely need a new PC - both of your graphics cards are too slow.

You can check your graphics card scores by following the instructions on this page.

Just wanted to leave my 2 cents.

I'm running lumion 3.2 at 4 stars without problems on my gaming laptop.

My specs:

i7-3610qm @ 2.30GHZ (8 CPUs)
8 gb ram
gtx 670m

Depending on your usage, your notebook should be able to run it, but run it well? My guess would be no.

Upgrade your desktop a bit, and your good to go (specifically: graphics cards, motherboard, cpu and ram) I know it sounds expensive, and it can be, but you can most likely find some "last gen" stuff which will do just fine!

Unfortunately not, his 610M only has 414 Passmark points. A minimum of 1,500 is required for simple Lumion scenes. Your 670M has 1913 points.

Ok. Thank you.

Do you think I can just replace my graphic card and add some RAM memory or do I have to change also my CPU (so a new pc) con my desktop?

Unfortunately replace the PC.

Sometimes replacing parts can work to upgrade the PC, but in this case you need to also replace the CPU (otherwise it will not cope with the new GPU), which means replacing the motherboard, and you need RAM to match the CPU.

Also you need a minimum of 12 GB RAM, but 16 GB RAM or above is recommended to allow larger video resolution rendering.

Ensure that the PC you spec will be more than just adequate to cope with the different complexity of scenes expected to create (see link in Morten's post above).

Dident know the 610m was scoring that low, might aswell be an Onboard graphics card then..

But yeah, get yourself some more power :)

And is it true that you need a minmum of 12GB ram?

I would suggest as above.

The web site shows some lower specs, Morten and I need to have a review of that.  :-\

(Update: The minimum required system memory will be changed to 4GB and the recommended amount will become 8GB.)

Hey, would like some feedback also on buying a new computer and was wondering how it will function in regards with lumion.  Since I am still in research I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Dell Alienware Aurora

Processors : Intel® Core™ i7-4820K Processor (10M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz)

Memory     : 32GB (4 X 8GB) Quad Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz

Video Card : NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 780 with 3GB GDDR5  OR NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 690 4GB    GDDR5

I want a really powerful computer since I am interested in rendering masterplans and rather large scenes.

Any comments / suggestions?

Thank you.
