10 seconds work. Just with the mouse and varying brush speed. Single size.
Imagine if you put some effort into it  ;)

what if I wanted to go to the next level and try to imprint a complicated pattern, let's say a Versailles garden pathwork or a multi road roundabout...  what you are suggesting is a modest handicraft method, there must be more alternatives out there.

'Must' being the relative word here.
For now you are stuck with this method until stencil brushes become a reality.
They have been on the wishlist some time and I'm sure the Lumion staff will come up with something
very satisfactory over time to solve this problem  8)

You do know you can paint with landscape materials on custom models right? Just making sure...

Now you're talking! that's when the asphalt material would come into play, although I'd prefer the asphalt level to be the lowest surface in my model, not elevated through an added model element, same goes for a swimming pool embrasure/frame, which should be on the same level as the landscape terrain.  Btw some of the landscape terrains are not really perfectly flat.  Putting a razor thin flat object as asphalt fe on top is a real challenge.
Hey, I'm just as fascinated by Lumion as you are, just trying to stir up some creative thoughts, which might result in useful developments in the future updates/versions.  Lumion is the way but not the final solution yet.  I signed up for the trip!

For road models etc I wouldn't recommend going razor-thin. Lumion can easily take the polygon-hit of extruded roads with some depth so best make them like that if it's an option for you.
That way you can sink your roadmodel into the terrain and use the lower and flatten tools to make the terrain snugfit the sides of the model. If you carve a deep V-Shaped ditch under your road this should take care of just about any issues. Just make sure not to make it too wide or the road will snap-sink too deep (though you can lock the model so it wont),

Dear Lumion Developer Team,
an asphalt material with edge control would be appreciated a lot...
Great work so far!

It would be nice to have something similar in Lumion for texturing and adding trees/roads:

WoW! Those Unity Terrain Tools are a dream come true! If Lumion brought out a supplementary "Roads, Tracks, Parking Lots Pack", I'd be the first to buy it!
