Hi,
I sell 3d models on another site, and one of my customers needs help importing the fish models they purchased into Lumion. They are FBX files and have bone animations of them swimming. I am trying to help this customer get the animations working in your program but cannot figure out how to do it. Is it possible to import these animations into your software, and if so how is it done? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi Mark A

Sorry, but it's generally not possible, bone animations are not supported for import.  :(

How do you import animated objects in Lumion?
Can you import animated 3D people and animals in Lumion?

The only way to animate a character or animal is to split the model in to segments and animate the Transforms of each segments, which of course does not always look OK when close up  :(.  And of course. is a time consuming task, even for one model.

Hi Peterm,
Thanks for the prompt reply. Unfortunately that is what I kind of suspected.
