I want to import roads in Malaysia into Lumion..
So I add location in my Google Sketch up..
After I export 3D model..
The location cannot be in Lumion..
What should I do?
Or where can I get Malaysia's roads..
I want to develop a driving simulator using Lumion

You can t develop a driving simulator using Lumion. Lumion can "only" produce movies or still renderings. You can walk through your model in realtime, but you cannot produce interactive products with it. For that case you have to use Quest 3D for example which was produced by the same team which is developping Lumion.

Did you try to position your model near to the origin 0,0,0 before exporting it to Lumion? How did you create the streets? What exactly does your model contain? Only the topography and google images? Pls give us some more informations to fully understand your problem.

Thank you guys  :)
I know I can't develop a driving simulator using Lumion
But I'm trying to make a simple simulator
I want to import street that available in Malaysia but I can't find them in 3D warehouse
I tought I can export location in google sketch up into 3D model in Lumion but cannot
So I decided to import any street in 3D warehouse
I design a small town and roads in google sketch up and export into Lumion
My problem is can I change the traffic light colour from red to green to enable my car to move
and how can I make another car moving too?

I don't have the idea how to create the streets at first because I have to create the streets that available in Malaysia but I can't find them. I decided to import the streets form 3D warehouse. My model should contain streets, sign boards traffic lights (change colour from red to green) and another car moving. Could you please help me how to do it?

It sounds like you might have to start off by doing some tutorials in whichever 3D modelling application you use.

Or you could pay someone to help you make it.

Just bear in mind that Lumion does not support vehicle physics and you can only create movies and images with Lumion. If I were you, I'd consider using Quest3D or Unity.

I have tried to use Unity but I can't understand how to use it. I followed the car tutorial but it is too advanced. Can I change the colour of traffic light from red to green in Lumion? If I'm gonna pay you, how much it is costed to develop the driving simulator and meet the requirements?

As Morten already commented, Lumion can't do any kind of simulations, even very simple ones.
For a traffic light to switch from red to green with cars starting to move, you'd at least need
basic animation triggers. Lumion doesn't have any. The best you'd be able to achieve is fake it. You can animate objects in Lumion fine, you just can't make things react to each other.

If you need to simulate things, try Quest3D, Unity, CryEngine3 or UDK.
All of which are awesome realtime engines.
All of which are infinitely more complex and difficult to master compared to Lumion.

OK thank you Aaron
But do you know how to develop a simple driving simulator?

Sorry dude but no, I can't even tie my own shoes, let alone code something simple.
I reckon your best bet is to ask on the Quest3D forum. There are people over there coding
their spaghetti to come out of the cooker in golden bars so a driving sim should be fairly straightforward to them.

Good luck!
