Importing custom graphics

How do I, or is it possible to add custom graphics to Lumion objects?  Specifically, I am working on a football stadium and the football field object in Lumion is fantastic, except that I need to add the sports teams logo in the end zone (and change the padding color on the goal post).  I can make up a fairly realistic looking endzone image in Photoshop, I just don't know how to actually incorporate this into Lumion.

So far the only way I have seen to do this is to construct the football field in SketchUp, paint on my custom end zone and go from there.  I prefer Lumion because the graphics look 1000x better.  Please help.

Thanks in advance.

you have to add two planes on top of the existing logos (build and textur them in sketchup) import them to lumion and place/scale them a little bit in top of the lumion field.
you have to use png-images with alpha and use the standard material.
for the alpha mapping to work you have to push one slider in the material menü to one side (sorry i dont know it out of my head right now, maybe someon else can jump in and help me out with this ...)

if you want to change colours of the goal, you have to model them in sketchup ( a little more diameter than the original in lumion and place them over the lumion goals)

thats the less work solution i would go ...

hope this helps

Hi

Thanks stucki.  Sounds about just right.

As the models are Lumion Library Objects, there is no ability to adjust any of the parts for color or alternative textures (as you can with cars for color).  They are for use as is, which of course does not suit specific case needs such as for johnnyboy.

So its necessary to do a work-around and use some extra meshes to 'cover' or add to the existing textures or colors.  So long as the camera does not get too close and the 'covers' are just far enough apart from the base model that they don't intersect, then it's a suitable solution.

And seeing how it's starting to rain we need to put the covers on.   :D  :-D... yikes, inane attempt to crack a joke   ::)

for the alpha mapping to work you have to push one slider in the material menu to one side

The slider is the Reflection/Clip/Bright slider. Any value  >0.5 and <1.0 uses the alpha mask to clip the pixels. (see attached pic)

Hi johnnyboy

Forgot to ask:

What version of Lumion are you using to edit the Library Objects?

Thanks.
